2Name Your BusinessPick a unique name for your business. Ensure it complies with Georgia’s naming requirements. You can check for name availability through the Georgia Secretary of State's website.
3Register with the Georgia Secretary of State Fill out the necessary forms to register your business entity (LLC, Corporation, etc.). Pay the required filing fee (fees vary depending on the business structure).
4Obtain an EIN (Employer Identification Number)If you plan to hire employees or open a business bank account, you’ll need to apply for an EIN from the IRS. You can obtain this for free on the IRS website.
5Register for State TaxesDepending on your business type and activities, you may need to register for certain state taxes (e.g., sales and use tax). Visit the Georgia Department of Revenue's website to complete the process
