[ARCHIVED] Hurricane Helene

Your paragraph text

The City of Hapeville is monitoring Hurricane Helene, and we are anticipating high winds and potential flooding from Thursday into Friday.

Please stay clear of fallen trees, as power lines may be entangled and pose a serious danger. City crews will be out blocking roads where trees have fallen (refer to the City's Fallen Tree Policy). Once conditions are safe, our teams will work to remove the trees, prioritizing access for emergency vehicles and utility companies.

Power outages may occur and could last for an extended period due to downed lines and fallen trees. In some cases, outages have persisted for several days. Please be aware that the City does not have the ability to restore your power or internet services. For updates, contact your utility providers, such as Georgia Power and your internet service provider.

Stay safe and informed during this time.
