[ARCHIVED] Film Screening Tonight With Filmmaker Linda DuVoisin!

Southern Circuit Tour of 2012 Series Film Screenings Continues: April 14th and will include a "meet the filmmaker" reception at 6 p.m. with live music by Hapeville's own John Stringer at the Christ Church & Carriage House in Jess Lucas Park followed the film screening at 7p.m Free Admission.

The documentary features singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco, activist/poet Linda Finney, police officer Julie Brunzell, artist/architect Myrtle Stedman and housekeeper Jimmie Woodruff. Through a tapestry of homespun stories, confessions, advice, music and poetry, the film reveals a cross-section of American women with extraordinary passion for life There will also be a special screening of "The Nashville Sit-ins," an Emmy nominated documentary of the 1960's Civil Rights Movement.

The 2011-2012 Southern Circuit is a program of South Arts. Southern Circuit screenings are funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and local partner organizations. Special support for Southern Circuit was provided by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. (Please note: some films may be for mature audiences.)
