Initiated by 7th District Fulton County Commissioner William Bill Edwards through the Fulton County Arts Council, south Fulton businesses, government agencies, and community leaders have joined forces with emerging artists of south Fulton and Greater Atlanta to enhance and promote economical growth in the six south Fulton cities. Highlights of the 2009 awarded arts performances include lunchtime strolling musicians downtown on various Wednesdays in September and October, a Comedy/Theatre Night and a Jazz Concert Night in October and programming support for the Happy Days Festival and Recreation Department Halloween activities.
The Main Street Board is playing a volunteer role to help participating Main Street businesses that will host some of the events and promote the events.
